Suggestion - Show Item Tooltips in crafting recipe menu
I'm going to make some food, and can make multiple varieties, but I don't remember which food gave which buff (or debuff).

Can we please have the finished result icons on the bottom of the crafting menu show the actual tooltip for the created item?

Not really, no. The few good recipes that do get used you know before you craft them. Like pumpkin soup for the +2 wits. You typically know what the product you want is because there’s only a handful of good ones. 90% of all food buffs aren’t worth the bother. At level 1-4 a +1 or +2 to an attribute can be noticeable. By level 16 it really isn’t. The % heal isn’t all that important since healing isn’t important either. There’s only a handful of food items worth anything at all and even those are very situational.

This is a really old thread.

Regardless of how good food might be, it is a simple quality of life addition that you show not only the result but allow you to see the tooltip for it. Crafting isn't in Baldur's Gate 3 yet, so maybe if Larian sees this post, they might add this functionality; who knows if crafting in BG3 will be better or not?
