I had the exact same issue. the game crashed with no error to the desktop. In the windows event log I found the path to the faulty ucrtbase.dll.

So I tried a lot of things and ultimately found a solution that worked for me.
And boy did I try a lot...
Checked the local Divinity 2 data from steam - didn't work.
Re-installed the whole game - didn't work.
Re-installed all drivers - didn't work.
Re-installed microsoft C++ redistributable - didn't work.
Ran the game in window mode - didn't work.
Ran the game in ultra pityful low detail graphics - didn't work.
Loaded older savegames - didn't work.

At this point I was close to giving up, but the last thing I tried was closing all kinds of background tasks. One of them was the Razer Synapse application, which seemed to be the actual cause of the crashes.

And FINALLY I am able to play the game again without crashing.

I hope this solution is helpful for anyone struggling with the same issue.
