Is Lone Wolf good for a first run?
I was thinking of going Lone Wolf Fane (Inquisitor) and Lohse (Enchanter) for my first run. Is that a good idea or should I go for a full team?

you can play how ever you like the game give you lots of freedome in how you want to create your characters you dont even have to follow the classes they show you.

while with 4 character you can see what skills does what that your able to see more better while with only 2 and as lonewolf you dont have to find more gear spells and have to focus less on multiple characters

it depends on the difficulty. If you play on classic or below it doesnt matter that much how u play. With two characters, lone wolves, on classic you will win 90% of battles just like that and for remaining 10% you may need to adjust gear or change skills ect.

Lone Wolf makes the game easier, but you'll have fewer characters.
If you go for Lone Wolf both characters need that talent.
I also recommend customizing your character and not just picking a starting class.
This way the starting class is only your starting weapon(s), your first talent can be Lone Wolf and you can choose your stats and skills.

i'd say go full party for lore and story for the first run.

i would say full party as a first timer. u can beat every difficulty with every partysize. yes. but the character- stories are amazing and with a 2 man party u will miss 2 stories ;)
and game-mechanic-wise go not for lonewolf as beginner, imo learn and feel the combat as non-loneWolf and later u realize how a loneWolf-build can change the combat

I'd recommend full party for your first playthrough, as others have said.

Additionally, if you do wind up playing with just two characters, they should be set up to deal the same type of damage, not one physical and one magical. Inquisitor and Enchanter means that your partnered characters will never really supplement each other's damage in a fight due to how the armor system handles their damage.

Do what you want. Two character lone wolf is a bit too easy for my taste, so prefer full team or solo lone wolf.

I just started playing DOS2 so this is my (new player) experience. Lone Wolf is decent early on, however I found I missed out on story and civil skills. Also if RNG is not on your side, you can get wiped pretty quick even if you don't make a mistake. With 4 you have more story, leeway, more mechanics to learn (which may or may not be good), albeit at the cost of more micromanaging and side quests (again good or bad depending your playstyle.)

At first LW seemed awesome, but after a few tries and not quite getting the hang of it I decided to do a full playthrough with 4.

Right now I have Ifan with huntsman/pet pal, Sebille as melee scoundrel/thievery, Loshe as Enchanter (Air/Water)/barter, and Fane as Wizard (Earth/Fire)/Loremaster.

Anyway YMMV, go with sounds good for you.
