Those aren't good builds, they're just builds. Fextralife is a source of thematic builds, but the actual quality of their builds ranges from decent to terrible. Pairing a magic-damage archer with a physical damage warrior is already suboptimal, and when you add in the fact that the "Eternal Warrior" trades off damage output for self-healing, the damage of your party is quite a bit lower than it could be at this stage in the game.
You're not wrong that there are a lot of wrong places to be at level 11, but if you defeat Mordus and then travel to Stonegarden for more quests, you should be okay. Exploration XP smooths it over quite a bit as well.
edit: just looked at the eternal warrior one and outside of the useless hydro spells it's not that bad. Just a normal warrior build if anything. And magic archer has a lot of unnecessary stuff as well and doesn't seem to work that well with a physical only damage ally.
You should add chameleon cloak uncanny evasion to every build, especially on lone wolf. It will help you avoid a lot of damage.
Definitely take the fextralife builds with a pinch of caution because, as mentioned, they’re usually built for flavor over function.
I've started to hear this more and more. I'm happy that I've only just started playing the game. Thank you for saving me some time!
What's your go-to source for builds if you have one?
Geomancer has the hardest hitting spell in the game though.
If you’re looking to make good use of source, you’ll want mages. Weapon based source spells are a tad lackluster.
I'm sorry I meant your go to resource for builds, such as a youtube channel, forum or website :)
I ask because you pointed out that fextralife's builds are bad and wonder where I can find some to get better at the game.
Otherwise I’m a resource you can use if you like. More than happy to walk you through any type of build you want to use and adapt it to the other build(s) in your team for the best effectiveness or whatever effectiveness you should want otherwise.
Honestly it's probably better if you try to figure stuff out on your own and only look for builds if you start struggling a lot.
Thanks again for your advice :)
