Mouse clicking through UI
Hi there, after several months I once again started a run in this game. Already finished a few in the past.

This time however I have a weird bug, that causes my mouse to irregularly click or point on things behind the ui. This causes movement commands that are not intended, makes it hard to read tooltips and so on.

Is there a settings option that I did not find yet or something?

I found a "slight" fix for this. By disabling mouse acceleration, the frequency this happens was lowered, but it STILL happens and irregularly forces me to reload to fix some nonsense movement and stuff.
->problem itself still persists.

don't know about such an option, but make sure you're not waiting for a spell animation to finish and have not actually selected the next spell yet causing clicking the target to be treated as movement?

The Padlock icon in the corner of the UI window turns that on/off.

Just to clarify, this affects all UI elements and always.
So for example if I hover over an item to read the tooltip, the tooltip will "blink" in and out because the cursor will instead target the ground behind the opened item menu instead.
The ability/hotkey bar on the other hand is mostly working fine.

I wasn't talking about the hotbar. Even things like the chat windows have the padlock icon in the corner to control the click through behavior of itself. Just hover over the padlocks and it says, "enable click through...."

I do not see such a button for the inventory. Additionally, it is not 100% clickthrough or 100% as-intended, it is more about 80% as-intended, and 20% clickthrough for no apparent reason. Also as described before, the tooltips are sometimes not shown so clickthrough does not necessarily involve clicking I suppose?

I've been running into this as well. Have you found out how to solve it now?

Have not played in a while because this bug drove me crazy. Try the mouse acceleration thingy combined with a lot of saving just in case of a "misclick" ... and tell me if u actually find a solution, so I can continue my run xD
good luck

Have same issue with the original DOS game on any macOS system, including when 2 clients are playing in the same game via LAN (ethernet cables only).

Just came here to say that switching from Fake Fullscreen to Fullscreen fixed this issue for me
have the exact same problem myself, weird that this bug has been here for years, so its fake fullscreen doing it? damn. i like fake fullscreen though. but that is when this bug started to happen is when i changed to it.

guess ill play in normal fullscreen, because this click through bug WAS PISSING ME OFF SO MUCH ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ITS THE WORST EVER
