The bonuses are nice but the armour values and stat bonuses fall behind what you can get from Divine drops.
With mods or Gift bag enabled you can make it scale further. The issue I have with most of the newish armour sets is they don't last very long. The Pirate set from Act 1 you probably wont even be using by the start of act 2.
oh for real? I assume i need to sell my set of armor to him before i go to the next act? or does it get lost to the void when I sell it to early?
