Game not running on steam deck at all?
The game is verified and has Gold status on ProtonDB. I bought this game two days ago on sale and I can't even start playing the game. It loads into the main menu fine and smoothly, but as soon as i select my difficulty the game crashes back to steamOS. I tried several different versions of Proton, Proton Experimental and Proton GE. I changed the fullscreen mode to all three modes, i reduced the graphics to medium and low presets and verifyed the file integrity but nothing seems to help me start this game. Has a new update or something caused this bcause i can't find any reason how this game has the green verified checkmark.

Did you ever get it working? I just got my Steam Deck yesterday, and I want to buy this game to play, But I dont want to spend the money if people are having issues running it

Not sure what problem OP had run into but I had no issues running the game on my Steam Deck.
I had resumed a game from a desktop save though.

Yes I got it working. I had to uninstall and reinstall the game. Something during installation must have gone wrong. The props in the menu didn't load either. I didn't knew that because I've never seen how it was supposed to look beforehand. Game runs great on the Deck, it's just not my cup of tea at all and I got bored extremely quickly.

I have the problem that my game on the Deck is not loading. I tap start game, and then i got back to the start screen.
