Ah. Ya know my head was swimming around the whole warfare scales both deal but for some reason it didn't make sense in my head until you said it.
Thanks much this helps alot.
Many fextralife builds are themed though, so sometimes their effectiveness is lower to support that theme. Many are also old builds from the classic version of the game and offer advice that isn’t relevant anymore.
Just something to consider when using their builds.
Dual Wielding and Ranged skills are inferior to Warfare, but they still have a place in a build that's already capped Warfare, especially with LW. There's a lot of room for more damage in this build. And like every Fextralife build I've read, there's no real consideration for opportunity cost. Sure, you get to swap between bows and daggers, but why would you need to? It has very little actual application in this game.
I must stress that my scoundrel was very vital to my victory as he mostly ensured Grog never got another chance beyond the first attack to do much besides walk and bleed. Not having invested any warfare skill to my rogue, I was pleasantly surprised how he was able to strip off Grogs entire armor with a single blow, leaving him wide open to all sorts of punishments. The irony is that the game was still trying to warn me of a over leveled enemy and I should try escaping. Apparently I took him down much earlier than I was supposed to because this is the first time I got an unidentified object that my Loremaster (Fane) isn't high enough to decipher.
