Help with Threads of a Curse (Solved)
I used the captain's jar before i ever met him so now i don't know how to get his coat, according to the wiki you are supposed to meet him when you open the cursed chest and you can trade the jar for his coat but i smashed the jar before i met him so i have no idea where i can find it now.

EDIT: Just make sure you started the quest by picking up the skeleton arm, otherwise even if you get his jar and break it his body won't be at the chest.

I don't know if you can get it but i wouldnt worry too much since the armor is like lvl 8 so it will get outdated really fast in act 2.

I finished the game a couple of times already, i'm playing with a lot of mods right now and one of them allows me to upgrade any item to my level for gold, so i kinda wanted to take the armor to help me around with some of the enemies in act 2, since i also have x5 spawn rate so having an AoE cc like that would be pretty helpful.
But i smashed the flask by accident, and it was so long ago that going back to that point would be super annoying.
I'm pretty sure there is still a way to get his full set but i can't find any info about it.

Not ire how but the CC isn’t that useful. It isn’t an aura effect. All it is, is the Flaming Tongues spell converted to casting a charm effect on trigger versus fire damage. In other words, it’s an attack of opportunity charm. You can only trigger it once per turn, it will trigger on the first enemy that causes an AoO, regardless of whether their magic armor will block the effect.

It isn’t as good as the description initially makes it sound.

I'm not super familiar with the relic sets, but I believe you can find a piece on the dead body if you smashed the soul jar. His body is in the same place, just no soul to inhabit it.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

I know what happened, i didn't pick up the arm to start the quest, so even tho i killed him his corpse didn't appear at the chest but after i picked it up i went back and his body was there with the armor, ty.
