Possessed Elementalists
Very hard fight (for me). We won, but two of my party were killed, and I barely had enough gold and items to sell to buy one resurrection scroll (my dead party member had two of them) Two bad you can loot their bodies.
This was on the way to Mordus's cave. I'm almost to Level 10, but these two were Level 10, teleporting everyone around, one shooting arrows which did a lot of damage, and the other casting spells which did lots of damage.
If other encounters in the cave are going to be this hard, maybe I should wait until I'm Level 10 or even Level 11.
Also I'm finding out that Lohse gets killed a lot, but it's too late to get rid of her. I made the mistake of just having her as an archer (she does cast some spells). I guess I need to put points into memory and get as many spells as I can for her.
Here's something odd..I got this sword...nothing special...says it's common, but it's Level 15..a Serrated Twohander, doing 57-63 damage. I have no idea where or when I got it. I thought great...I'll kick some butt.
>I MISS WITH IT A LOT<
Must I be at or near that level to use it successfully?
Also the runes. Go to the rune screen. Put the weapon in the box (yes it has the little circle), put a rune in the box, it says EXTRACT, then there's a sound, and nothing happens..nothing, and I have several runes, some I combined into a stronger rune.
What am I doing wrong?
And is there a website that actually explains all these plots in this game? I thought Ifan had to meet someone at the tavern in Driftwood (was it Lohar?)
I read entries in my log that I don't recall talking to someone to make that entry.
Oh that woman in the tavern that turns into a spider. Finally killed it, but then it came right back as a spider again.
I reloaded to my lave save after seeing that.

Thanks for reading this long post.

1. If someone dies you can still move items from their inventory via equipement, also, you can craft these scrolls
2. You can respec characters at mirror in the lady vengence
3. Weapons pf higher level have accuracy penalty, check your character accuracy in the inventory
4. When you put runes in the box, they are already on the weapon, pressing extract unequips them
5. dont kill her, she gives nice stuff
Weapons of higher level have less accuracy per level difference. If you can use spells to buff accuracy and gear and whatnot, you can sometimes make it worthwhile to use.

If you're dying a lot, its likely a build issue, though gear might be playing a part. You seem to regret playing an archer almost as if its a bad build, but its actually the best weapon based build, dealing the best damage for a weapon user. Kinda depends on your build though, the game doesn't really tell you that Warfare is the skill you want to invest for damage, not Ranged or Huntsman. I can help you tune your builds if you like, just make a post including all your attributes, skills and talents on each character, along with the weapon setup they have. Screenshots work too.

If you're struggling with res scrolls, you might need to do more thievery.
