Start of Act 2

I've just begun act 2, for the first time and I have gotten a whole pile of old gear back, specifically, Hildurs Plate.

Why?

you will get better gear here.. dismiss one char .. make a new mercenary ..give him only stats for stealing and you are good to go..
put all his stuff into your inventory kick him and take your old char back.

Possibly just the game giving you back unique items, maybe ones that were in allied inventories? Not sure.

nahh once you finished act 1.. everythink you forgot at map 1 is gone.. once and for all.. quests and items..

Weird?

If you killed vendors that you sold that stuff to, then you’d have gotten it back. Unique items are prioritized when looting vendors.
