Oh boy Alexander-Sallow question. Minor Spoilers.

So, to get to the Swallow you need Alexanders head or the hood he gives you. Now, I missed his entire scene in the elf tree section. Garret was already dead, there was nothing I could do. I didn't get to met Alexander again until the end of the gauntlet. At which point I charisma the ♥♥♥♥ out of him and he agrees to let me be divine. Now the surprise twist happens, everyone not my party dies, lavas falling from the sky. I'm now fighting the gods. I quickly run to loot Alexander for the hood or his head. Both aren't on him. Did I just screw up being able to kill the Sallow man?

You can't get back to the island after entering the fight past the source pool where you charisma'd the ♥♥♥♥ out of him

Yeah just realized that. No idea how I would've gotten the hood prior to that point as well.

I never spoke to him prior to the academy. I missed his scene at the elven tree somehow and that was that.

Right, once you entered the academy, that's the moment you missed out on Sallow. Not great, but that's the way it is. The ideal order is to talk to Alexandar, decide what to do with him, then Sallow, then Academy. You can kill or align with Alex, it doesn't make much a difference, as you found out in the cutscene there

Maybe I'm not being clear. Alexander was no where to be found before the Academy. He was not on my map at all, anywhere.

Oh. You made it sound like you just entered the academy then checked back to where he should have been. Maybe I read it wrong. That is a very odd situation then.

Lol no I walked into the elf tree first. I can see the confusion though. He just wasn't there, Garrett was already dead. No clue what happened.

Typically, the first time you come upon both of them at the tree, you either have to deescalate the situation or take a side and kill one of them then and there.
