Renaming backpacks

So, is that a thing?
Does it require anexusmod?

and if so, does it disable achievements?

as far as i know there is no mod that specifically allows you to rename backpacks. the only thing i can think of that comes close to that is the gift bag that just gives you a ton of named bags to help you organize better (improved organization). i don't think it lets you name them yourself tho sadly. i also find the amount of bags it gives you to be kinda overwhelming, but if you wanna try it you might have better luck.

modding the game this way would disable achievements, but if you install Norbyte's Script Extender [github.com] it should allow you to get achievements again with any of the gift bags enabled.

I'll note that most players who use the above mentioned organization "gift bag" mod tend to regret its activation and it cannot be undone. Make a save first and play around with it a bit before continuing. They're restrictive as you cannot sell directly from them, drop them or (I believe) craft using items within them.

Dang.. really! Not being able to use the materials for crafting kinda defeats the purpose of the backpacks. What a shame

I found a helpful technique:
If you sort your inventory by last picked up you can kinda organize your backpacks into top left, top right etc.

I just sort by type. Once you know where an item fits by its type, you can find anything pretty fast.

Backpacks are mostly just good for consumables. Fill a bag with arrows for your archer, then put the bag on their hotbar for easy access to all of them from one slot.
