What is carpet for?

As titles says. I can move it and it has a "combine with" option, but I have no idea what I can combine it with and I can't pick it up. What is it actually for?

Most stuff has a "combine with" option, but that doesn't mean it actually combines.

This game has plenty of random stuff you can pick up around the world. You can decorate with it if you want, but otherwise it's mostly pointless.

Figured it out on my own.
Crafting overhaul mod is being used and you can combine it with the scrapper's pickaxe to make cloth.
