Any mods that make the game easier?
I'm in act 2, I've played so far on explorer difficulty, finding it just about the right challenge up until the fight where you save Gwydian Rince. I just can't do it! He always, always dies. Lowered the difficulty to story and he died even faster than before! I don't really care about the challenge, the optimal builds, etc., I play games mostly for their stories and this means that I want to experience as much content as there is, completing every quest etc. So to me not being able to win this fight is a road black that kills the game. So please, if you know about any mods that lower the difficulty even further please share them with me!

EDIT: I've managed to save him! This is how I did it:
-You need a teleport scroll/spell, I found one *somewhere*, if you don't have it just explore the map, you'll find one eventually
-My party was level 14, you need to kill the enemies within a couple of rounds (depending on how well you can keep Gwyndian down)
-Create a boxed off area like this https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2969720205 and teleport Gwyndian there (don't initiate the conversation, teleport him from a safe distance)
-Position him so when he starts to move he'll break the left most Oil Barrel first
-After the first round use your archer (I used Ibn) to keep Gwyndian knocked down (I used knockout arrows)
-Kill the enemies asap

Even if there is a mod like that, it's unlikely it will solve your issue of him dying. I would imagine the main problem you have is oil blobs and you can avoid them completely if no one uses source magic in the fight, including Gwydian. You can do that by teleporting him away repeatedly and slowing him down with oil, making sure he doesn't cast his chain lighting in the fight. That way you will only have magisters to deal with.

Gwydian Rince isn't a particularly good indicator of game difficulty. It's the only encounter of its type in the entire game, and requires a far different strategy than anything else the game throws at you. I wouldn't take it to mean that you need to mod the game or otherwise alter your experience.

First off, you can just fail the quest. It's not the end of the world, it's optional.

If you do want to save him, stockpile Armor of Frost and Restoration scrolls to spam on him to keep him alive, and consider preparing those skills on all of your characters by adding a point of Hydro to their builds temporarily. Then, end the fight as quickly as possible. Use Teleport aggressively to bring the large bombarding enemies up to your platform so that your melee characters can engage directly, or just have your melee characters bravely jump down into the fire to fight them off.

Gwydian is overcome with guilt and has a death wish - at least, that's how I rationalize it. You can build a prison for him inside one of those tents near the beach and teleport him into it. That's the only possible way I've found to have him survive. Just set your team up on that elevated space and kill anything that approaches. It's a reliable strategy, but the fight takes about an hour.

The necromancy spell "living on the edge" is also incredibly useful there.

This fight is frustrating for beginners, but there are several ways to make it easier (this fight can be done solo no lone wolf without teleporting Gwydian).
a little research on you tube and you will see fights where Gwydian never loses his armor in tactician mode. you don't have to do min max on explorer difficulty and so if you take 1 or 2 tricks during these examples of fights you should be fine.
you have the chance to play a game that is several years old, watch video strategies on the web.
now if it's the story that interests you and not the challenge let him die and watch what you miss on video.

CHEAT COMMANDER

With that said, Gwydian is an idiot. He and his shock touches. Let him die, why should you be responsible for every idiot? Or teleport him away.
