Question about Crossley Family (Black Pit)

I was just exploring the world in very early Act 2 and found this family about to be executed. I attacked the Magisters and gained a hero tag but once the fight was over...nothing happened? The family just sits there begging for their life and I can't untie nor even talk to them. Seems off. What's their deal?

You're supposed to be able to talk to them to untie them, maybe there's still magisters around or something.

There's some prettty far to the south, but maybe they count as "too close"?

You missed the part where he can't untie the family before moving on to save Gwydian.

not at all, I'm just saying that you have to go to the end of the quest. It doesn't matter whether there is a bug or not at this point in the game.
and even if it bugs after he returns you don't lose much. it's not the first time that there are events that don't trigger and here it's not a problem.

I do not understand what you don't understand. I didn't know it was tied to quest and I was here directly asking for that information.

its a first time i hear that da family is bugged that ya cant talk to them i mostly talk to da woman at da far left next to da dead person and normaly shoud be able to talk and press da untie option only possible magisters that are in da area that are part of that fight the 4 at da family and that 1 patrol that comes and goes from da front gate where ya enter da blackpits

my bad: I thought you knew it was related to the quest. as nobody told you, I didn't want you to waste your time because of apointless bug
