Come on, more creative than that. Sure, scales and plumage are going to influence the name, but ... honestly, you can do better than that.
Blizzard would actually work. Just in an alternate language of sorts.

At some point they seem to have run out of names or just given up on it.
It seems to have improved in the sequel.
Apart from the obvious NPCs, I don't see anything wrong with the other 7. Besides, you can always use descriptors, like Argonians(or Native Americans). Stands-In-Shadows or Hard-Rock or what have you. The Red Prince? Rather descriptive, wouldn't you say?
I was more curious about from which languages / cultures did you draw your inspiration from. Only serious inspirations, btw!
Good descriptive name based on your Lizard's body with lots of history.
