Balders Gate3/Divinity2

As someone who hasnt played much of either game. Which one would i have more fun with sinking some hours into? Which is a better game right now? Thanks.

Right now? Divinity. Its the finished game. Baldur's Gate should be reaching release in a few months I think, so it'd probably be better to wait until its finished.

And it will take another few months to polish bugs and problems... and then we will see some DLC. I would wait until game is considered "done". There are so many good RPG games that I dont feel like playing new titles when they are fresh.

But, having said that, Baldurs Gate 2 is one of my top games of all times... so I guess I will have to put a tough fight to give it a raincheck ;-P

I would buy baldurs gate to get the free upgrade, but aren't they wiping everyones saves when the full game launches? so might as well wait.

I don't think they're wiping anything, its just that the pre-release saves probably won't be compatible. Its a good thing, since there's an experience cap right now, you'd be losing out on a bunch of experience and probably other stuff if you were to try and continue your pre-release save.

The better game right now is DoS 2 because DoS 2 is finished. BG 3 is only in EA with only Act 1 until the end of the month. Which you will like better will depend on your personal subjective taste. BG 3 has more of a tabletop style DnD feel. How good the rest of BG 3 will be remains to be seen. DoW 2 is excellent already and I'm cofident BG 3 will be excellent as well.
