i personally haven't come across anything to your description.. even through nexus mods. usually, you can pull the main map up, and see all your quests there.

you can also put your mouse cursor on the mini-map and use the little scroll wheel to zoom out. that may help you.

Just explore, read everything, talk to npcs. Quests will naturally complete. Some quests add markers to your map but most of them expect you to figure it out yourself. If you really want the game to tell you where to go, then just read a guide.

game has enough pins and is not massive enough too be too difficult.

Maybe just let things happen more naturally
(don't feel the need to rush and do side missions only worry about completing them when your feeling way out matched or more so about to leave the act, there very very very few that have any urgency or change things or have a should really do A before B thing).

Talk to everyone and dont skip dialogue. It's pretty straight forward. If you cant do that its not really a game where you can just go quest marker to quest marker. Theres even flags on the map that are important NPCs or quest areas. A quest tracker like ones for WoW etc would not help you in this game at all.

Yeah the quest marker and logs are really awful but they're not really that hard to follow that you need a mod like that. Just read the log. Be aware some quests continue on the next act

This! There's also a dozen and a half ways to 'complete' most quests. That is why a quest helper or logs would not actually help!
