Can you play this solo?
Are you required to have a party or can you play this with a single character? Are there perks specifically for playing solo?

there are perks to play in 2 persons (lone wolf) but not a single character, if u wanna play as only one party member i sugest to look for some mods for that

Lone wolf also works on a single charakter tho, but as you could expect, its harder.

The Perk Lone Wolf, which you can pick from the start, gives you immense Bonis when alone or Duo. You can dismiss any follower and play alone in every way.

You can play with the Lone Wolf Talent and no party members, but even as strong as Lone Wolf is, it might be challenging doing a solo Lone Wolf on your first playthrough.

And in case you were asking a different question, you can control multiple characters solo, so you can run a 4-man party in singleplayer.

I am not sure that I would like a game with multiple characters to control. I am used to single character ARPGs.

For this one i highly recommand running a 4 charakter team, since each charakter has their own story and own quests dedicated to them.

Nonsense. Solo lone wolf runs are a breeze. If you have trouble, learn to use chameleon cloak and turn delays and you'll be basically unkillable.

well this isnt an ARPG. this is a turn based RPG

If you want more action in your RPGs I would certainly go with 4 characters. More characters = more time spent on your turns = less time spent watching the AI take their turns.
Additionally the pre-made characters can have a large impact on the main plot in ways that you otherwise wouldn't be able to see.

I definitely recommend having a party - everything feels a lot more meaningful that way :)
