Post-Maze well in need of a filled bucket

Alright, so I finished the maze... got the gold from one of the tombs and am stuck at the well that is asking for water. I have a bucket.. but no idea how to fill it with water? I've tried raining into the bucket, going down to the coast and putting it in water, combining random stuff with the bucket... I am all out of ideas now. Any help with this? :D

Edit: Also, I have 2 inert purging wands, was that the whole goal of the maze? They don't have a skill with them.. Gareth is still waiting for me to do something apparently, he won't leave the camp and pretty much the only option I have is to "come back when I've found something".

Just cast rain on the well; the bucket is a red herring. If you are in the cave with the ilusory floors then you should find the wand in the tomb at the end of the cave.

Alright, I found the wand (have two inert purging wands) but don't get any skill when I equip either of them. Gareth is at his rally location but he keeps telling me he won't go unless I found something else. I'll head back to the well now though and see if that helps..

Edit: So I'm supposed to find some soul jars for the 3 immortal necromancers.. haven't been able to find this either though I did get the well dialogue to progress with the rain spell on it.

Edit2: Okay, got to the dragon cave, killed the witch chick and have the actual purging wand. It's not the inert one like the posts have been saying but Radeka's purging wand just in case anyone else finds this as frustrating as I did :P

Use Radeck's wand to free the dragon. There is another wand in the mysterious cave near the seeker hideout. You have to work your way back with several fights in the cave to get to the area with the soul jars and wand. It gets referred to as the cave with the jester guard in many posts.
