Huntsman and Duck Duck Goose
Alright I just installed the Early Access of DOS2 and naturally went through the character creation.

Something I quite quickly noticed was the Talent for avoiding Attack of Opportunity (Duck Duck Goose) was "locked" behind one point in the Huntsman Skill.

As I see it this Talent is somewhat mandatory in most cases which makes one point in Huntsman also mandatory.

Is it just me or is this quite annoying?

You can just teleport away, or, you know - kill/cc whatever's in range. So, not more mandatory than, say, one point in all defense skills (since everything above that is not worth the investement) or aerotheurge/warfare to get rid of enemy armor faster.

I didn't out a point in it on first play through, maybe ill check it out on my next, could see my wands spreading fire and such to myself with it though.

I've never had problems with AoO in my first playthrough, why do you tihnk it's mandatory?

I'd argue that Necromancy is more of a "must have" than avoiding aoo.

It's such a massive advantage. Difficult to not take it on my characters except for anyone in heavy armor. I'm really surprised it's left as-is from DOS;EE.

If a character is in a bad situation (surrounded, especially by dudes with two handers) you can either a) stack multiple forms of CC, which may not work due to some npcs having their armor/mage shields up, to get a character out of AOO range (basically a costly investment in a possibly successful solution) or b) just walk away from them thanks to a 1 talent 1 point investment in Duck Duck Goose.

i found necromancy to be super underwhelming, unless you are referring to a talent that requires it in which case i probably didnt get it anyways
