Downloading either of those should fix your issue, if I'm not mistaken.
and it`s work to, no need to download it from MS, it is already in game folder.
Try right clicking the EoCApp.exe file and select Properties, switch to the Compatibility tab and set the game to run in a Win 7 compatibility mode. That helped a couple people with a similar error with D:OS EE (for VCOMP120.DLL) in Win 10.
You can try uninstalling the 2015 version, reboot, make sure that dll is no longer in the c:\Windows\System32 and c:\Windows\SysWOW64 folders, and then install it again.
At least in Win 7 it is 138,552 bytes, and identical in both locations.
Try checking your system files:
- click Start, type cmd into the search box, right click Command Prompt and select run as administrator.
- type the following command and hit Enter
sfc /scannow
When that is done, type exit and hit Enter, then reboot your computer.
For more details, see: https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/kb/929833
You can also try copying the dll file into the '..\Divinity Original Sin 2\Shipping' folder, and see if that will allow the game to start. If there is a problem with the redistributable, you may just get an error for another dll.
When Steam community helps resolve PC issues. <3
Eventually I realised that the 32 bit version of the 2015 vc_redist comes with vcomp140.dll, but I was never getting that particular library installed in the 64 bit version (whether I installed the redist that came with Divinity, or downloaded the original from Microsoft, or the "update 3" version of it). Divinity is 64 bit, so it needs the 64 bit version of the dll (and presumeably other things it depends on, which were the follow up error I got after copying it from another machine). However installing the *2017* vc_redist from Microsoft DID finally install vcomp140.dll in c:\windows\system32 (the 64 bit libraries go in system32, for confusing historical reasons). And then the game worked.
I don't know if vcomp140.dll used to be included in the 2015 version and for some reason was retroactively removed from every official download I could find, or if it's just that Divinity actually needs the 2017 version and Larian never noticed they're shipping the wrong version, and it worked on my old computer because I happened to already have other games installed that included the 2017 edition. Neither of those seems at all likely.
But if anyone else finds this in the same state of frustration, and none of the instructions to reinstall the 2015 vc_redist package 6 different ways is helping, try installing the 2017 version.
Thanks, repairing it from the Programs menu in Control Panel worked for me
and putting it in C:\Windows\System32 Fixed this for me
