How to resurrect with no scroll nowhere to buy ?
How to resurrect with no scroll nowhere to buy ?

I havent found a single scroll for at least 4 hours, so i have to reload and replay a lot IF a party member dies...this is annoying:steamsad:

I needed scrolls after I fought a mini boss and the main ones and I had run out. Both times when I went to Griff in Fort Joy, he had scrolls up for trade.

so there's no way to rez even outside of battle? By shrine or retreat, nada?

No, i don't think so.
Try all the available vendors, with any luck they will restock res scrolls once you level up.

So the first one had that issue to, and it stems from the D&D concept of permanent player death. One solution is to go find a new companion, another is to find scrolls from vendors (the blacksmith lady at the beginning has some usually), or quicksave alot, or finally, just keep moving forward until you have a character who can cast resurrect, and pray they dont die.

The lady on the beach SW of fort joy might have some

so, just to be clear: you can straight up "lose" the game if you've got too many party members killed with no cash for res

Just like when your whole party dies, you can lose at this game, which is why it prompts you to re-load from a Save. Just like a single player game :)

Save/quick save often. Use resurection scrolls sparingly. Vendor's have limited stock, and they are each usally randomized in their own way. And gold usually harder to come back earlier on (based off the first game).

It's a rewarding challenge to overcome though! Turn based game, so strategy and planning are both key!

you can craft the scrolls: sheet of paper, life essence, water essence. maybe that helps

Be careful how you use them. There is a limited number of them available.

Either crafting the res scroll or dont take so many party if you cant maintain their expenses, you wont go on with a suicide squads for adventure and end up without any penny in your pocket.

Fairly sure there's a necromancer skill that resurrects people. You take full VIT damage by casting it, but you rez them at full health. Combine it with the other necromancer skill that makes you immune to death, and well... infinite rez. Then again, you do need a decent necromancer.

There a plenty of scrolls in Fort Joy...something like 30-40 or so. If you're picking up evey bit of gold you can find and selling pictures and the like you should be able to buy a nice pile on top of the blank sheets + life essence + water essence's you find on enemies.

Vitality Damage caps at 3000 for the necro rez. I know. It's my favorite spell in the game.

Doesn't the vendors stock change/refresh every hour ir when you level up?

main vendors (i.e. Hilde, Rezik, Butter, Gawin, Stingtail, etc. forgot the other people's names) usually carry res scrolls.
