Illusionary Cave stuck in combat with Trompdoy (Bug)

In the Illusionary Cave on the Southeastern Beach of Fort Joy (Cave with the madman Trompdoy) , I got stuck in battle with an illusion of Trompdoy, after opening the fake chest behind the door of the room with the statue in it's center. Before all that I went through the dungeon on a normal way, fought the first 3 illusions and opened the first fake chest, then followed the path next to that glacier/ice shard thing into this castle like room.

Is it because I killed the illusion of Trompdoy when he was standing there laughing at me when the chest exploded? Because that's what I did (he couldn't just get away with it). I think it bugged the rest of the spawn sequences for me so that he couldn't spawn anymore and my party got stuck in battle, when he was supposed to appear.
