Everyone aggros my character?

I've been playing in duo with a friend of mine, a very casual playthrough, and.. From one point, no real idea where, every single NPC that sees my character (and only me) instantly loses 5 points of attitude towards me, prompts either a "Leave this place", which I can reply "Alright I will" or "No, I'll draw my weapons". I'll answer that I will leave, only to be instantly prompted AGAIN the exact same choice. Say once again I'll leave, and they instantly say "Alright then you asked for it", making everyone in the area hostile.
As for our point in the game, I think it's middle of act II-ish? I couldn't go back to Rykard in the basement, as he would prompt twice the "Go away", then instant aggro (and even the Graveyard Keeper Lizard lady did the same even though I was doing her quest.. I think?), but my co-op player could. I tried going back to Driftwood only to be aggro'd by everyone once again.
I tried reloading to the start of our session, and I was still being despised by everyone, I have no idea what happened.
I do not have the Stench Talent, I even have 1 point in Persuasion from my gear, yet every single person despises me, I can't do anything anymore. I lost 5 attitude towards a sleeping dwarf woman in a house, woke her up and tried to trade with her, only to se that after the decrease, the attitude was at 0, so it's always at a base 5 with everyone. I have not been caught stealing by anyone, either, so..
Any help, idea why, fix?

I have no idea what causes it, I thought it was before the quest with the many oil slimes in the zone to the east of the graveyard, since loading a save before it had me safe. Turned out the save after that big fight worked (the end of last session), and did not have anyone hating me.
However, any save from today's session had me hated by everyone, when all I did compared to last sessions's save was enter Blackpits Cave.

Hm, nothing obvious is jumping out at me.

I haven't played with the Captain's set in a long time, I wonder if it's trying to charm nearby NPCs or something? Maybe experiment with removing your gear and seeing if they're still angry at you?

I have tried removing the gear, I have tried using a Shapeshifter mask to morph into another race (not playing as a preset character, this one is fully original, so apparently no issues there?), nothing changes it. I'll try reloading again when it was safe, and give an update.

Killing your character and resurrecting them is another possible way to reset any bugged status.

Nah, Zapor's set shouldn't aggro everyone around (I get it every time I play the game since it is easiest to aquire. I wonder if he was doing some bad things without realizing it like misclicking on something that counts as stealing, pickpocketing somebody or something like that...

TS, can you check if you have "villain" tag? This would indicate you did something everyone around disapproves.

Did you make a wish with the Djinn? I know one of his results can give you a stolen item, and while I always avoided that outcome, I believe it's got some kind of tag on it to make people think you stole something from them.

Not a villain, did not steal anything (or at least in front of anyone), never pickpocketed either, the trigger for everyone going from not minding me to hating me was simply entering Blackpits Cave.

We didn't do the Djinn quest before going there, kinda skipped it.

However , after a good half hour of going back to some saves, and forward to some newer ones, the character hatred SHIFTED to my duo partner, and after one last reload, everything was seeemingly fixed?

I guess, if that happens to anyone, either try dying and resurrecting (could not try that one unfortunately), or.. Shift through reloads until it fixes itself.

Since no one here has experienced this I would put it down to some very rare bug.

It's a bug because you were caught stealing. Get into combat, escape combat. Next time guard spot you he should give you a warning and then be
Fine.

Like I said, no one caught me stealing anything, and every single NPC in the game got hostile towards me, whether it was the Masters of the source, the Magisters in Driftwood, the Graveyard Keeper, they all either gave me two warnings before aggroing, or straight up aggro'd.
And even if it was because someone caught the stealing, it doesn't explain why it shifted to my co-op partner, since they never ever stole anything.
