Cast rain then zap enemies to stun them. Then use global cooling to freeze all the water from rain and watch the enemies slip and fall all over the place. The lightning strips the magic armor that protects enemies from the chilling effects of ice magic and then you can freeze enemies all you like. The only reason an air focus is better is that fire tends to run rampant in most fights and that fire can melt enemies out of frozen CC.
Still, it can be made to work. Just realize that it’s shared with the primary healing and support magic school so offensive spells are somewhat few and those that do exist take more AP to cast, limiting your total spells per turn.
Not summoning!
On a less sarcastic note, it definitely benefits from air magic. Summoning... I personally don’t consider summoning a thing in this game. While it can seem really strong, that generally only holds true for players still learning the game. Summoning is alright early game, but is easily the weakest skill line in the game. I don’t generally recommend it for this reason. Still, I don’t think it’s a good idea for what the OP here wants as if you pick up summoning, you absolutely have to dump all your skill points into it for it to be effective. Thus making your character a summoner, not an ice mage.
