reset character?
I am still in Fort Joy at the moment, but is there anyway to reset skil points and perks etc later on?
I think I messed up getting some useless perks and didn;t really optimise the levelling, but don;t want to start afresh really.

No spoilers please.

To answer your question....Yes you get to respec after you complete the first act I believe.

I think it's free with unlimited uses but don't quote me on that. Just what I have heard as I am not there yet.

Looked like a normal answer to me.
I'd have just answered with "Yes.".

You can respec anything except tags whenever you get access to your homebase basically at the end of the event of Fort Joy's island. (Stop calling it act 1, it's just a big tutorial/prologue)

He said no spoilers. He would unlock the ability to respec if he progressed a bit further.

Not sure why you want to be a jerk.

I already knew one could respec. This leaves two follow-ups though:

1) Can you respec any character? (I guess so)

2) Does it come at a cost? Gold? Loosing learned skills? Limited respecs?

TY. :3

When you respec and put points into other skills, say geomancer to scoundrel, are you given the same starter template spell choices or how does that work?

You just don't have the point needed to cast any Geomancer spell . All the spells your characters have learned will always be available to use if you ahve enough point in that spell category

So the spells given from starter templates are the only ones learned from the beginning or are we given all spells from the starter templates and only when we apply points in the right skill do they reveal to us? Thanks!

The one you have already learned , including the 3 spells from character creation will still remain with the character . Respecing doesn't give you any skill to choose from, and you don't lose any skill ( as in you don't have to read books to learn them again but you still have to put point in their respective school to use them) .

He's asking if you get new free skill actions in the new skills he's chosen, which I believe no, you do NOT.
