Yet it won't die for 1 hit,U'll need to push Ur possesed crew to very low helth or kill him/her(tip.the demon will posses the one who hit it,so keep your Necromancer alive for 'dead by edge' skill, or grab enough resurrection scrolls if Ur crew died) after few rounds it will fall at last(depend on damage dealt.)
2).Use you main character to repair lever then speak to monk."if you don't use your main character you'll just get a question mark in the craft location when trying to combine the 2."
3).Make a persuasion check - int , fin , mem. Mem , worked the best for me even when my int was double the amount of mem.(the other chamber with deamonic lizard has a str persuasion thats better then the others).
4).release him or torture him out of the dwarf host.
a.releasing him go through a long process of killing and getting possesed by the deamon until hes dead.
5). Torturing the deamon from the host until he says blood body in his dialog."you will have to heal him until the deamon pops out."
6).precast rain right before the last pillar is distroyed.
7).distroy last pillar and cast lighting and stun lock him.
8).If he can't move by knock down , sleep , stun he can't make one of your followers a host and kill him dead before the stun wears off.
9).talk to dwarf for reward location and talk to monk for completing the quest.
I've done it many ways but this seems to be the most effective way that I tried without being possesed by the deamon.
As for this quest, its doable but a royal pain in the rear.
This worked wonderfully, specced both my chars with 20+ summoning and just killed the demon and the dwarf with them.
1. Hit the dwarf a few times until the dialogue pops up
2. Break the pillars and start the fight
3. Have character one teleport the dwarf to one end of the pit, then getting the hell out
4. Have character two making sure he stays there by using web (from spider web) on him, then get the hell out
5. Have character three cast living on the edge on the dwarf, then getting the hell out
6. Have my ranger, positionned at the other end on the pit, liberrally kicking the crap out of the dwarf then the demon when he popped out, using knockdown arrows so the demon skip his turns.
At max range regular range the demon is too far to possess your hunter, so with the high groundrange bonus you can stay at a very safe distance. Also the demon dont seem to be able to re possess the dwarf.
Many years too late, but if you have a necromancer, get summon bone widow. Have the entire party wait outside the chamber (I hid mine around the corner of the door) then just keep having your one character summon bone widow over and over. Between that and the dwarf. The demon can’t possess anyone so it can only do basic ♥♥♥♥ like make them mad. Which results in them attacking it anyway. And if bone widow dies. Just pop the spell again and run it back into the fight.
