You mean the Braccus Ring? If thats the case you need the complete set to remove the curse from the items.

Yeah, I have the set on. Ring still curses me. Weird.
The game removes the curse when i wear the whole set (head, body, glove, pants, shoes) minus the ring, so i suspect maybe its bugged or the ring simply was not part of the set? Plus the helm have a ranged purge ability which makes it handy to kill the shriekers without the purging wand.

You can skip the gargoyle maze though if you identify yourself as Braccus and show them the ring... so maybe the ring is for that instead?

Ring isn't part of a set. You can nullify effect of it if you finish gargoyle zone (you still get cursed, but without effect, and only character that finished the quest). Can be removed by blessing.

Do you mean the maze quest specifically?

Because if so, that is utterly retarded game design. Without meta-knowledge that by flashing the ring and pretending to be Rex... you can easily completely ♥♥♥♥ yourself out of not only quest rewards but a good ring?! What the ♥♥♥♥...

Edit: Man this game has some weird/bad design decisions sometimes. The ring will always ''curse'' you but the effects not actually exist. So you'll have the effect without the actual effect.

If you flash the ring but go back and complete the maze, you'll remove the effect it seems. I'm not sure how it works or what the ♥♥♥♥ happened. I never ''finished'' the quest as I skipped the whole sequence with flashing the ring. I'm guessing the effect removal is connected to the Historian and it's working on any character.

This obscure, unclear information is really.... poor.

I finished the gargoyle zone (flashed the ring to teleport), and freed the historing by coming back and doing it the old school way (finding the skulls and opening all doors).

The ring is still cursed, i see the status, and it says loss of resistance and accuracy.

If I look at my inventory, my accuracy and resistances are not lowered (display bug?) BUT!! here is the thing, the first time i equipped the ring it didn't lower the stats either... so it seems the ring is always bugged to not curse at all even tho it shows curse staus???

Definitely a bug...

Pants are on a statue in the hidden room of Fort joy prison where you found Withermoores soul jar. Requires 15+ wits to spot.

Is the set worth it? I have everything but had and pants and none of my characters have 15 wit.

No it's not. By the time you can get all the pieces, you'll have out leveled the set and have better equipment available. It's only useful as vendor fodder. Though I do use one of the set pieces for fighting Slane. I forget which one does it, but one of them makes you warm if you wear it alone, which can come in handy when fighting an ice dragon.

Oh yeah, the chest piece, good thinking

This has been the case for any and every armour set I've ever seen in an RPG, for decades now. Unless the armour scales-up (crap game mechanic), it ends-up being redundant by the time you complete the set (crap game mechanic). What also happens is you lose a carefully crafted char's armour setup that had a nice variation of perks, for a decidedly dull, limited spec set of out-of-date garbage.

What makes it worse is that you have to equip everything to remove the curses. You can't just equip one good piece and leave the others, so it's doubly useless.
