Blood Rose
I know about the all powerful potion that grants permanent +1 in all stats which you can craft however can the normal blood roses be used for the same or anything else ?

the potion is made out of an empty potion bottle, and a blood rose. Nothing else.

You can try but it won't work as the only that works with it is the unique dropped from the boss npc in that cave. The 2 other Blood roses you find are normal ones and do not work with it... sadly and thus i wondered if it had other purposes.

Once your character dies, the buff is gone btw

Even from the forums,

"Blood rose buff is apparently "permanent", yet disappears as soon as you die. Was this intentional or is it meant to actually stick?"

It is intentional since it is a potion buff that will not last when you die. Else it would flat out increase your stats in your stat screen.

I'm agreeing with you, just reconfirming that the buff does disappear when you die.

Cheers, I just thought it was a useless alchemy ingredient but this could be quite useful for party members that rarely die

just give it to ur tank, tanks hardly ever die as enemy npc's are intelligent enough to avoid tanks until last unless you taunt them or stand in their way.

note: personally i have not yet died thus i thought it was permanent even through death as the text states but yea like many "permanent" effects they end once you die.

Kinda wish the A.I weren't smart enough to completely ignore tanks.

Except the A.I isn't smart when it comes to allies, asking for additional seekers with the first fight against Alexander was a complete waste of time. I had no idea the "healer" would charge the Gheist on a ledge next to a swordsman and Alexander himself

Well they might be smart to avoid tanks but they are beyond stupid when it comes to pathing... often they skip their turn if they cannot move close without going a few steps backwards and then down if ur far away as they seem to follow a rule denying them from running away which kicks in and bugs when ur at a certain distance and thus locking them in place.

Secondly they are unable to move obstacles...crawl up somewhere and place a barrel or such in front of the stair... they won't move or destroy it unless it gets destroyed from aoe dmg to you... only worry will be the assasins blinking close to you...

oh and they avoid tank to the point where they often skip or move away from tank if you use taunt on them rather than attacking you... taunt is often meaningless except it works kinda like a weak stun.

In EA the other roses gave a 10 turn buff to all stats when made into a potion. haven't tried them in this run yet.

the rose that can be used in the potion gives that buff before crafted into a potion however the other roses have nothing noted below themselves...
