Scarecrow Fight in Driftwood
Any tips for the scarecrow fight near the farm outside driftwood? http://divinityoriginalsin2.wiki.fextralife.com/Scarecrow+fight

My party just gets fear locked and I can't do anything and die.

Seriously.

You just have to beat it before they break your armor. I.e. over first turn.

I feel like I had armor and people were still being terrified. Maybe I'm mistaken though.

Fire, lots of fire. (I don't know if fire will help)

There is a small hill type area to the left of the scarecrow spot (basically btwn the scarecrows and driftwood). Move ur folks up there, and send one with high mobility to start the conversation / fight. As soon as it's that chars turn, run (Phoenix dive, flight, etc) that character up on the hill. Take out the main scarecrow as quick as possible to negate terror aura. Keeping magic armor up obviously helps till he's down. If others get too close, teleport them away with gloves / spell. Also incarnate champ is beastly for this fight (or almost any fight). If he flies up to ur hill early and u can burn his physical armor, try and keep him locked up (chicken claw, knockdown, etc..). Throwing some summons down low to draw the regular scarecrows attention is helpful too.

I believe they're level 12, so if you're not up to that yet you may consider avoiding them for a time. A buddy and I managed to 2 man the fight on honor mode with a tanky summoner and an archer. The archer was able to burn down the primary scarecrow in one round from the hill Vaile mentioned above (Ballistic Shot FTW). Even if you can't burn him down in one round, you should have little issues burning down the armor and then knocking him down. Once he's dead, the rest fall more easily.

Lasers definitely will help :).

First, you need to be at least level 12. Being lower than level 12 is likely to give you a harder time.
Second, pre-position. I had 2 mages and moved them both up to the high ground first.
Third, focus the boss down as hard as possible. Ignore all the other enemies until the boss is dead you can't afford to split your attacks on the minions. (This same approach is how you should deal with other tough bosses.)
Fourth, use Frost Amor scrolls to keep magic armor up if needed.

1. Using 'Peace of Mind'(Clear-Minded) prevents Terror, Charming, and Mad.
2. Drinking 'Potion of Will'(combine Empty Bottle + Fire Essence) prevents Terror, Charming, and Mad.

Use one of these two on your first turn, especially for the characters with low magic armor or glass cannon.
They're undead. Use that healing beam thing, it will wreck a bunch of them, hit the main one with resto. There's a hill behind the lower part that you can position on, their movement isn't much, and they will burn a couple turns attempting to make it over to you. Don't bother saving your source, just bless at the start and focus the boss one down first.

I finished this fight on tact, pc crashed before saving, had to do it again.
