How to revive without scroll?
Is there a way to revive dead companions without a revive scroll or spell? Like a statue or something I can touch, or an Inn?

I'm still in the Fort, and don't have any more resurrect scrolls, and unfortunately due to some bad luck and noobishness, one of my guys died...

yeaaaah.. sorry to say in this game death is permanent without useing magic, you can try doing a quest that forces a fight , some of them rez dead members at the end but none early on, at least none that are easy to do with a full party.. let alone a understaffed one lol, id recamend reloading and not loseing the guy however you did lol

Reload an older save. Also, save more often and reload when you screw up badly.

Ok so Question #2... Can you ever get more companions if 1 goes down?

I wish the damn game would at least tell you that since it means you can end up in a no win state which suuuuuucks.

Ress scroll are scarce in the begining, but dirt cheap later on. You can also craft idols from scrolls that will automaticaly ress the character that has it in inventory, removing the need to waste AP on that during fights. Also you can get "Come back kid" talent that will ressurect a character with 20% HP once in every fight.

You can also craft Ress Scrolls.

There is a merchant on the western beach called Margo that sells resurrection scrolls but they are quite expensive for this stage. Over 200 gold (depending on her attitude). She doesn't have a lot of gold to buy from you other stuff but if you have enough gold or goods to sell to other merchants then you could get some here.

And, yeah :save often. I got really into this game then wiped before I got the hang of combat and was like "F**K. I just lost over an hour of playing." :P. Bit harsh when you first start IMHO.

Looks like Lo1ife had a spare Resurrection Scroll for this thread.

Eventually there's a skill in the necromancer school called Last Rites. It lets you revive a character to full health at the cost of a large chunk of your own. Very fun to combo with Shackles of Pain.

I never thought to use that with shackles. I may purposely die now to try that.

To the original question, in act 2, each party member can get a totem of rebirth, which uses up a res scroll automatically when a player dies. It needs to be refilled after each use though, so it will usually only work once per combat, unless you craft mid fight.
