you can take poison staff and just splash poison under Fane's feet. That will do the job :)

He can also be healed with Necromancy. or Leech type heals.

But next time you see a poison barrel stuff it in your backpack. You can then endlessly combine the barrel with empty bottles to make poison potions that act like heal potions for him. You can also use it to poison food and drink so he can eat it.

Handy thing, those Poison barrels. Worth the weight of lugging it around.

Rather than lug a barrel around if you get Zaikk’s Talon (which is pretty easy, they are sold often and I got at least in in fort joy/hollow marshes) you can use it in carafting to poison anything.

The talon is handy but it can't fill empty bottles/grenades/etc with poison or poison weapons. It can poison food or turn healing potions to poison. But I'd rather save my heal potions for the living.

But barrels is stupid easy to find, lasts forever and is free. Worth the weight, especially if you make a companion lug it around.

You can heal fane, by diving him in pool of blood and meat...
