Glowing idol of rebirth
What does it do/ what can you do with it?

It resurrects you with full HP/Armor, but gets drained afterwards. It also hints there's a way to recharge it but I haven't found how. Thought it'd be a source orb but apparently that's not it.

Not found the idol myself yet (where it is?), but I did find a recipe that says you just need to combine a used one with a Res scroll to recharge it.

Btw you get it in the undertavern at Driftwood. You'll meet a chick called Dorotya who'll you have to persuade and then pick the butterfly answer. Just don't freak out over her "surprise"

I found a bug with the idol too - if you have it on your main character in wrecker's cove after your party is split you can watch your main char try to take on the ridiculous fight he/she finds him/herself in and the idol keeps working and generates more copies of itself. Kind of funny! I left with about ten of them just for fun before reassembling my party... Then you just recharge all the spent ones and you're ready for some real cheese ;-)~

is it even neccesarry to kill her then ? also her not beign able to res should make fight easy?

You can recharge it with a resurrection scroll. Its extremely useful for squishy members because it will auto resurrect. Though its 1 time use.

It IS a one time use, but you can always just use another res scroll and craft another glowing one, since you get the spent version after it's used.

Tip: you can craft during your turn in battle. Crafting a glowing idol (ashen idol + res scroll) is only 1 AP, as opposed to 3 AP to use a res scroll

Actually the bug happen when you put the glowing idol in a bag. Otherwise it just becomes ashen idol after 1 use

dont bother doing the chatting part cus you will lose 2 con for it when you can swipe it with pick pocketing

But you can get one per character and then another from her body. So, 5 in total. Completely OP.

Use mercs to get 4 of them then you don't have to lose any constitution on your main party. As an added bonus merc gear costs more then what you spend to hire them. Mercenaries op.

This thread is from 2017. Since then they patched it and you can only receive one (two if you kill her).

If I remember correctly the specific method you need to use in Definitive Edition is:
Speak to her with Character 1 until she walks off to her meeting spot, Wait for her to walk back.
Speak to her with Character 2 until she walks off to her meeting spot, Wait for her to walk back.
Speak to her with Character 3 until she walks off to her meeting spot, Wait for her to walk back.
Speak to her with Character 4 and run through the quest as normal.
Apologise and finish with Character 3
Apologise and finish with Character 2
Apologise and finish with Character 1

Not sure exactly when you want to insert the pickpocket but 5 is beyond excessive anyway.

In future I'd advise making a new thread rather than reviving a thread that is referring to Classic Edition
