Amyro attacks Butter
Me and my friend are wondering if there's a way around Amyro attacking Butter (if you flirt with her and she helping you out in the Griff fight) as soon as you free him from his cage? Is it a bug or is he just super pissed at her for being an ex-member of Griff's gang?

But why would I kill Butter? She's friendly.

I've never had that happen in any of my games. But I have had weird aggro issues in co-op. Every now and again the game will randomly turn one of my RL buddies into an enemy. lol

Okay I have the perfect solution:
1. Hit the black cat who is following you near butter, she will get upset and go upstairs
2. Engage in a dialogue with her to make sure she stays up there
3. Free Amyro

2017 to 2020 it's still relevant to me.

It's almost 2022 and issue is still here. Hitting black cat does not force her to move (she went down from a balcony during a fight with Griff) only attitude is lost.

Has by any chance somebody found a way to not put Amyro and Butter in a fight ? Bug is obvious since Butter shifted her loyalty from Griff band to us and this should be represented by reseting her hostility toward Amyro.

I find this kinda surprising to be honest. So, you’re letting Amuro out and Butter is immediately hostile to him? Seems odd to me since their sight lines alone should keep them from initiating combat. I’ve never seen or heard of this happening before. Very strange.

Yes, she is immediately hostile towards Amyro

I have flirted with her ensuring good relation
I have initialy accepted Griffs quest to find his citrus
I declined to give him his "citrus" back -> his band became hostile, Butter included
When Butters turn came, she shifted to neutral and started attacking her former companions
In the heat of the battle she went from upper level down nearby Griifs kitchen
After the battle when i set Amyro free, she start attacking him immediately

Does she not walk back up to her spot? If she does, that would likely break line of sight and let Amyro out safely. If not, surfaces like poison might be blocking Butter going back.

Good ideas, thanks ! But I was not able to find a reason why she was not walking back, also there was a peculiar thing with Amyro taking path not through the closest kitchen exit (one close to Arena trapdoor) but opposite one..
Eventually I reloaded the game and killed Griffs band once again, this time assuring Butter will not go too far from her original position.
This time Amyro took a shortest path and didn't aggro Butter at all.

If Butter becomes hostile to you when Griff does, then you did NOT flirt with her properly or all the way through.

Apparently this is how it works, she becomes hostile initially at combat start (by hostile I mean she is encircled in red) and neutral (encircled in yellow) when her turn begins. I have fought this battle twice and each time after combat she told me she couldn't let them kill me.

Nevertheless keeping Amyro out of her sight is a working solution.

I didn't even know you can get Butter on your side, she always went hostile when we attacked Griff and paid the price.

You need to sweet talk her beforehand
