think about it when you have a group covo people dont go asking the same question 4 times to each inquire and put their opinions out. its a natural flow, one ask a qustion and people add their thoughts. flow..
i did not even know i could talk and have diferent convo with all my party members it happen by mistake. i mean how could i have known its dumb to begin with, was trying to confort that little crying girl in hidden alcove. no success with my main guy until hours later upon coming back i talked to her with the red prince who managed to do it.
i guess you are right.
but i still hate to hey, lets do that convo 4 times, just to see...
In the moments where a companion asks for a private word, they do exactly that - so for all other conversations, everyone is there. Allow them to contribute from one dialogue box... just have:
1. I dont think thats a good idea
2. Maybe, but I think its less immersive
3. [Red Prince] Come on, I'm right here!
4. [Fane] I dont know, I like imitating the exact same conversation twice.
I'm guessing it somehow messes with the Tag system? But its quite annoying to have to repeatedly get each character to talk to each npc, going through the same hoops, to see if one of their tags triggers something different....
Thats a very good example.
I dont think it can mess up with the tags, just have each tag option show up in the convo menu, just like you mentioned.
1. (Noble) I dont think thats a good idea
2. (Tryhard) Maybe, but I think its less immersive
3. (Scholar) [Red Prince] Come on, I'm right here!
4. (Stuborn) [Fane] I dont know, I like imitating the exact same conversation twice.
So i was just talking to this healer lady named Margo. She is located by the sea on the west side of fort joy square. If you act nice and inquire about her familly, sit in the sand and listen to her story she gives you a resroration scroll. Well turns out you can redo the damn convo 4 times with all members and have 4 restoration scrolls each time.
This is such an imersion breaker for me.... Sigh....
when you quit a great game over small things, lol.
Personally, I kinda like the conversation mechanic in single player. I feel like the leader of the group since I only run around as Fane. I rarely switch to the others for a conversation, often letting them do their thing when they ask for it. In my mind its their matters and thus i should respect that. You can talk to them about it later or confront them shortly after. Letting my party have their moments was great because it made me have a moment of watching the Elf chick kill Stinktail and then me killing her because i realized she was a monster and my Fane wouldn't tolerate it.
I feel more apart of the game in single player than coop. Which sucks since it sounded from my mom and her boyfriends play through of the first game that the game felt designed for two people to be playing. This feels more like four people are playing at the same time but have no real reason to work together.
