Basically this, If you've got a magician/healer expand their repertoire of hydro spells, freezing the voidlings raw from afar also helps buy some time.
There is a ledge to the far north with a vine ladder. The blobs (even the small jumping ones) cannot get up there. Simply teleport Gwydian as close to the ledge as possible from the top of the platform, and then teleport him again to the far left side of the ledge.
From here, you can wedge him into that corner by placing one of your characters next to him so he can't go back down.
You can do this a second time to the right (facing north) of the dead tree further into the cave/tunnel so he isn't even in line of sight of the blobs. (Since some of them have ranged attacks) I suggest using a ranged character here.
Once your party is safely up on the ledge and out of line of sight of the blobs, simply teleport them up and cc them one at a time until they're all dead. EZPZ
My party happened to be drastically underleveled for this part (2 level disadvantage), unspecialized (little hydro, only 2 blesses) and also somewhat undergeared. Still managed to pull it off thanks to the magisters who distracted the blobs long enough for my party to escape to the ledge.
Oh my friend, I feel yur pain. Only problem, I don't have a dedicated ranged Lone Wolf
For my rogue/archer lone wolf team on classic.. it's just downright impossible. My characters can survive the fight easily, because you know.. I don't run around in the cursed fire like an idiot. But Gwydian? Ugh. He lasts about until the fire blobs come out, then just gets his ass handed to him. I don't have any hydro/aero peeps this time around, so trying to heal his dumb ass or teleporting him around isn't really an option without remaking my characters at the mirror and teaching them new skills and the like. Ugh.
Edit: As the guy above stated.. teleporting him works great. I literally walked up with my rogue, didn't even go onto the upper platform.. cast teleport on him, ported him as far away as possible (nearly to the gates thanks to height bonus) and never even entered dialogue with the magisters. When I walked over and talked to him he said his normal "That was awesome, what a show of source.." dialogue and ran off after the conversation was done. The magister actually just kept on going with her interrogation as if he was still there too. Which is rather hilarious considering the persuasion dialogue pointing out how bad she is at noticing him escaping as we talk.
Going to go back and murder the magisters for whatever they've got and the XP. It'll be interesting to see if the void blobs show up without source magic being cast.
Edit 2: Yeah, the fight started like normal. Gwydian cast his stupid chain lightning from halfway across the map, then ran back to rejoin the fight against the blobs. Luckily I was able to leave the magisters alive because Gwydian wasn't anywhere near them, and 3/4 of the mobs just went after them. Also.. Cryogenic Stasis works wonders here. Not only does it heal Gwydian, it prevents others from damaging him, and prevents him from moving (and hence damaging himself).
