Lady Vengence secret room key

So I got into the state room and picked up the teleporter pyramid and used it to get into the secret room below the state room. I picked up the key in there, but not sure where it goes. I think I might've already unlocked everything I can by lockpicking so not sure if it's connected to anything else on the ship or was connected to the door that leads to the secret room.

Edit: Reloaded the save just before teleporting, definitely not connected to the door.

The key in that room opens the chest that's in the state room. You've most likely picked the lock already.
