Grog the Troll, invincible or just OP?
So Ive encountered Grog. He has like 7,000 HP and his HP completely regenerates at the start of each new turn. Ive tried freezing and stunning to prevent him from ever getting a turn to act, but it appears the ability "troll blood" is passive and requires no action on the AI's part to work.

Anyone figured out how to kill him? At first thought I could teleport him off the bridge but he cant be moved, tried every status effect spell I have to negate troll blood, to no effect. Im pretty sure theres some unique item or spell for this, similar to that giant guy in snowland you have to kill with a special wand, in the first DOS. Any tips would be appreciated. Also, I know this game is new but jeez, there isnt a single walkthrough or wiki with anything past the early access content. I have yet to find anything for any quest or enemy like this, strange that its taking so long for anything to come out for this game. Makes me think it wasnt real popular at launch.

assume you've tried bleed and poison, but have you tried to petrify him? especially sinc ehe is a torll, seems petrify is worth a go. the dwarf gets it as a racial, and undea dgets it in dwarf form.

Poison would stop the troll blood regen.

I killed him a bit earlier on tactician with 2 lone wolf casters (pretty sure he had around 15k-16k hp). At least for me, it required a lot of trial and error (and quicksaves) to get everything to line up perfectly and actually kill him in 1 turn.

The gist of it is, he is vulnerable to fire
His armor goes away after the first turns for whatever reason
Necromancy was the trick. A caster tanking his melee attacks with shackles of pain + living on the edge + deathwish
Throw your strongest fire spells on top on your turn, and make sure stuff like Supernova hit both your tanking char and the troll for maximum damage

Also living on the edge seemed to bug out and not work sometimes, which was not particularly fun.

Grog is immune to poisoned and heals from it. That however works for the smaller troll, Marg.

Huh, could have spared us the bragging, lol.

Yes I tried fire and every other element, and to other guy above, my thoughts exactly and I tried petrify, hes immune to just about everything except stun and freeze.

But I still dont get how you did it, sure you do a lot of damage to him and tank his hits, but how is it possible to deal 7,000 worth of damage in a single turn? Ive gotten him down like 2500 hp in a turn but immediately after he regens ALL of his health, not even stun/freeze will prevent it. So your saying you dealt 15000 damage in a single turn, with only two companions? Forgive me if I call bs on you, but I am having a very hard time believing even a lick of that. The hardest difficulty, with only two companions, and you killed a boss that has 15,000 HP that recovers fully nonstop, and all in one turn. Huh.

What bragging lol. There's nothing to brag about on reloading 30 times and quicksaving between attacks till the stars align. I'm just trying to help.

* He takes double damage from fire damage
* Shackles of pain mirrors all damage you take to him.
* Living on the edge keeps your character at 1 hp despite how much damage is incoming
* Death Wish increases your damage output by how much % of your health is missing. So double damage when at 1hp
* Spells like Combustion, Laser Ray and Epidemic of Fire have 750-1000 on the tooltip, before those modifiers.
* Combustion does damage to you the caster too, which also gets mirrored to him through deathwish + shackles
* Your other character also does all these spells and makes sure his combustion hits the shackled companion too, so that the troll takes that damage twice.

PS: He drops a lvl 18 ring btw, where I'd advice saving before the killing blow to try get good stats on it

Is Krug, the Troll of the Cave, vunerable to anything?
I tried to freeze, poison, burn, stun and he still regenerating...
Any help would be good. :D

I killed him in 1 turn with 2 lonewolf stacking physical armour and casting shackles of pain, stacking deathwish, then casting reactive armour with 75% spell crit, I respecced using the mirror to do it though, also necrofire removes his troll blood.

Grog has no armor so its easy get the forced exchange skill from polymorph attack your own char till its at like 2% health engage Grog force exchange him he is now at 2% which is probably sub 400 hp proceed to 1 shot him
Madness seems to stop him from regenerating I think, stunning him or knocking him down didn't seem to help. Only time it didn't regen on it's turn was when I had Madness on him and then managed to kill him after that.

yea, in my game he is lvl 18 and have 15000 hp. I just tried killing him with lvl 12 party by using electric arrows and other stunning spells, but when he regenerate his hp from 5k to full with no action at the 3rd time i just quit.
I use meteorstrike to reduce his HP to 2k and then I fought him normally. I use bone widows FYI

Fire mage kept him on fire. Air mage kept him stunned. He never got an attack off.

I figured it out, necrofire stops him from regening. He even says a line when you hit him, goes like "waitaminute!" Tested it and let him run around for 3 turns with it, no regen.

Simple counter against him is fire, if you got a geomancer simply place oil everywhere from the bridge to the other side of the bridge then pull him to one side using an undead while the rest hide, ignite the oil and play dead, Grog as stupid as a troll will walk around where the poison once was located which ofc you moved away and thus he moves through a looong road of fire.

all you have to do is stand ready at the middle of the bridge to attack. when he comes from the other side he will be half dead already.

easy peasy kill-

Try decay. It would turn his self heal into auto kill.
