Windego (Act 1 Spoiler)
So just encountered the reason why my lovely characters had such a bumpy ride and with fane in my team it did end with me having to fight here (would have done it anyway).
What I don´t understand is that the fight is waaay to easy. With her having only like 20 armor or something on tactician mode. And then you get insanely good items+the facemask.
Why the hell did I get the faceripper :O. I don´t need it anymore do I?
Anyway is it just me that thought that this encounter was poorly created?

It was one of the easier encounters in the area for sure, given what encounters are before and after running into her.

I have a theory that she is secretly a recruitable companion but I have no proof yet.

For a start why is she on some of the artwork that depicts companions of the game and she is the only odd one out... I'm convinced there is more to it.

Yea, I noticed she turned into a skeleton on death and had Fane's mask.

I feel like the fight was designed that you're expected to reach it as soon as you escape the fort (As its next to the sewer exit), but if you take another exit, like the boat, you aren't put that close to it.

I did two playthroughs where one I did start her as soon as I escaped, and she was like...medium difficulty? And a second where I didn't touch her until a while later and just demolished her.

It did feel pretty underwhelming and I thought she would have played a stronger role, but who knows maybe she will later.

I mean she seemed like a big threat to us. Being a source mage who easily manipulated her collar so that she could go on a murdering spree. I dunno.
Sort of expected her to be more badass.

This thread needs to be renamed to the Windego Research Group lol

I did the whole fort before I left it and she was done in 2 rounds. The groups before here were a bigger threat then her ^^

More like the windego appreciation group.

What if it's an imposter of windego left there so you could think that's she's dead, while she's reamain in ambush to kill you somewhere further in the game?
ToxicWyrm Sep 17, 2017 @ 8:49pm
i feel windego plays a bigger role in the future,i mean why else would she have a cutscence in the begining if she dies so soon in the adventure?

If you listen to her dialog, it seems she was forsaken by whatever god aided her, and was unable to use her source powers, which she likely relied on heavily. Or she used Fanes mask to fool us into thinking she is dead when in fact she is you. (Dun dun duuuuuun) But seriously, other than the part about her being you, it'd make sense.
