Obsidian Knife - Oh God Why (Mild Spoilers)

So I've performed the first ritual, progressed through the game, done virtually everything I can on Reaper Coast, and now I'm trying to go back to do the ritual again, but I can't find the obsidian knife, so there's no way for me to craft the ritual bowl.

Has this happened to anyone else? Do we have any solutions?
I've checked every vendor I can think of, but come up empty handed.
If I have to start over from scratch for such a stupid reason, I'm probably not gonna. I'll just come back to the game once they provide an alternative.

i check the cabinet a second time and got back both the bowl and the lancet. i actually have 2 lancet in my inventory at the present moment. i think you should try with another character

If you don't trust yourself not to lose something important, it's not that difficult to put it in a safe spot. I leave the bowl at the fire generator and one could do the same with the knife or put it back in the cabinet. The quest is rather clear you'll need the knife again as you're instructed about gathering additional Blackroot.

Could they lock quest items in safety mode? They could. Should they? It's debatable.

I had this same issue. Here is the answer! Go back to Meistr Siva seller and click on the Ingredients cupboard directly behind her. This will give you another ritual bowl and Obsidian Lancet (ritual blade). Hope this helps cheers.

If you talk to Siva, she will not only tell you that you can get all the bowls and lancets you need out of her ingredient cabinet, she will also tell you that the Blackroot you need is in Cloisterwood.

Check the cabinet. i came back after killing Alice to recharge my source and found a complete set so I have two of everything.

Very annoying that I somehow lost this obsidian knife despite knowing I wasn't supposed to lose it. Quest items shouldn't be able to disappear. I had the same problem as some of the above users, in that the cabinet would not produce another copy. It said I had all the ingredients I needed, even though the knife was missing. However, when I threw out my ritual bowl on the floor, then checked the cabinet. I got a new ritual bowl AND a new knife. This is stupid but I figured someone else might benefit from this info.

It is in the Ingriedent Cupboard. You have to check it every time when you perform the ritual

I solved it. I asked a friend to join my game since a new ritual set is given when a new human player interacts with the ritual cabinet. He spawned both the blade and the bowl and we proceeded with the ritual.
