You get an amulet from the toyseller's house which can store excess source, you need to wear the amulet and fill it up with source. Once it's full you can use it on a hidden button, to the left of the statue of lucian in the cathedral, and then your character reads from the scroll.

You can use it to get past Divine statue and enter Lucian Tomb. But you also need Toymaker Source amulet and have 5 charges of source in it.

Fun fact you can also createe merc and he is considered sinless and enter that way XD

hi guys. i have both the scroll and the amulet, the scroll is marked as stolen, but i cant use it on the button, it place the amulet and nothing happens, i see lots of people saying my character is supose to read it automatically but that doesnt happens...i load up the amulet to be 5/5 source charges and still no luck.... =/ ( im gonna try the merc thing...should "fix" =/ )

So, I killed the toymaker and didn't get a chance to have him tell me where the scoll is located (upstairs in his desk, apparently), thus, I can't see it. Also, for whatever reason, Zrilla, who I was able to get mercenaries from, is dead, no idea why, just dead back in the Hall of Echoes (on the ship.) Is there some way around this? Another character I can recruit from somewhere/someone? Please help :(

I was having an issue with this as well. my merc died on the 2nd question when i answered #3.
!!!WORK AROUND!!!
I gave the Amulet and the scroll to Lohse and had her push the button. try giving the items to another party member and see if that helps.

so you need to fill it up with source before you can use it on the switch? you know i really wish the game would provide something on this or something... i just killed the toy maker because i want to finish the game already... nothing that i remember hinted at filling up the amulet. but i will try this so i can open the hatch already...

although i am rather frustrated that they bottle necked this in like this... i should be able to just blow it up or lock pick it... in a game that give you choices its pretty BS how they bottle neck this.

just made it... can confirm that you need to fill the amulet with source... after you have all your source points they will begin to go into the amulet. Put it on and start to store it up with source... i just beat my companions up and stole their source until i had all 5 charges in the amulet... after that then you can put the amulet into the switch in the blood church and unlock the hatch. What a butch of crap for a bottle neck... i feel cheap and dirty looking all over for a way to get past this with out any clue.

This was almost a year ago but X:100, Y-106. In the toy makers desk upstairs. You can break in with a vine from outside but you will be attacked.
