where can i find the name of the demon and save the tree?

Did you go to the archivist? There is a hatch on the island

Go to the archivary on the island and talk to the archivist. She´s gonna tell you the name of the tree if i remember correctly. Then go back to the tree and talk to it, it´s gonna give you the name of the demon.

btw: You need 20+ wits to uncover the hatch leading to the archivary(i had 19 + peace of mind buff). The hatch is hidden exactly where it is marked on the map.

Or just go there and use the Shovel right on the marked spot . It works
