1) You can play this game solo or with up to 3 other people. Normal Gameplay is simultaneous but combat is turn based. The game sometimes tries to pit you agianst each other but you can decide agianst it if you don't want that.
2) DOS2 is a game that takes up to atleast 80 hours gametime. Atleast. On EASY. When you rush through it. Consider the learning curve dialouges combat searching for stuff and so on and you look at well over 80 hours belive me. Thus i'd highly recomend you to play solo or with friends since it'S near damn impossible to coordinate tiimetables with random strangers, especially if the life in other timezones. There is an oline lobby yes, where you can set connectivity to friends only.
3) you could host your single player wrold if i'm correct but most of the time no one would want to play with a character that they didn't even create/skilled himself so i'd advie agianst it. Also buildiing your party together from scratch is fun :)
its a little bit out of topic but, do you have any recommendation for game that looks like this ? like maybe path of exile or the recently came out albion online ? those two are the only game that cross my mind when i saw this game.
There are also some people that are looking for groups (on Discord for example).
- Albion online is a MMORPG that i haven't played myself but what i can gather from friends it's very PvP and Guild base so I don't think it really compares to DOS2
- path of exile is a lot more Diabolo-esque but it's free.
- If you're just looking for another good turn based RPG "Pillars of eternity" is very solid
Not sure if that's what you meant but i hope it helps.
