Bloodmoon Island Vaults

I've already managed to talk to all the spirits, find the archive and the relevant book (though it says my character can't understand it), along with forging the levers. But I still can't get the statues to move. Sifting through the discussions I've found that you need Fane to read said book, but I'm playing with no party whatsoever so that isn't an option. Basically, is there another way to get them open or do I just accept it as a consequence of having no party members and move on?

So I should move on then. I regret going for OUTLAW and NOBLE instead of OUTLAW and SCHOLAR tag.

I'm in the same boat.... Spirit of brother robert.... the last vault, everthing is donee.... but he won't open the crap door..... hero with Scholar tag doesn't help....

If you have Fane, I had him read it and that did the trick.

how do you complete the "read the book" part without chars with scholar tag?

I don't think you can. You need a scholar, that's it.

I couldn't find how to make the levers sadly so I had to skip that part, lame. Though I did all the other quests on the island including getting in the vaults.

You go to the forge and put the silver bars in that lie around the island. That's it.

If your characterdoesn't have the tag, either the Red Prince or Zane should work. I haven't tried anything else, but I bet there's some other way too.

i was with Ifan and Lohse, others dead. Tried recruiting, but they didnt have any traits

If you place the lever yourself (with the character that is carrying it) the option to ask him why it isn't working shoul be there I think. You'll need a persuasuion check.
