Help Fane is a cow
I need help I thought that I was drinking a poison potion in combat but it was the witches potion. Now fane is a cow and I don't know how to undo it.

I drank the potion not looking thinking it was a poison potion (healing Fane) and made him into a cow! Well my save was 1.5 hours of progress back and i made the potion using the witches eye to save my Cow-Fane but you cant even give him the damn potion. SO out of frustration i killed Fane before giving in and reloading and as he died the curse fell off. :)

i would guess that you need to find the witch that brewed the potion for her to help with the potion book that you can't read so that you could undo the effect. (didn't you talk to the frog?)

or just load the previous save

Do you need Pet Pal to talk to him now? Is he an undead cow or a living one? Is he happier this way? Can you respec him while in cow form and see what options are available for cows? Does he still heal off of poison or does he need regular healing now?

In the normal course of the game, you will get two of the potions:
one on the shelf in the last cellar chamber, the other you have to brew yourself.
You will find the recipe in the book, which the blue frog in the last cellar room drops
(If you're wondering how to get to the frog, I simply teleported it to me).

If you can not read the book: You need both - mystic and scholar - to identify the recipe.
Fane has both so just let him read the book. The recipe should also be discoverable.
Reagents: Augmentor + Boletus + Witch's Eye
And here comes the tricky: there is only one eye.
It is located on the ground floor of the house on the desk.
You can use the potion to heal yourself or use both potions to turn both cows back.

The witch itself is west of the witchcabin, behind the Troll Bridge at the north of the cliffs.
Hardly to overlook: she flies crucified over burning surfaces.
Beware: The fight is damn hard but rewards you with very good equipment.
