Can someone explaine this riddle. I don't want to guess. I have read an explanation on a similar riddle but it doesn't seem to work here. It's infuriating. What am I missing?

The one in act one in the cave place? It's basically a simple cypher. I forget the way off hand but the first part shows you the corresponding letter to use in the next.

So if it said MAD is Muggy, Noxious, Rot. use the letters of MAD to match up with the first letter of each word (M -> Muggy, A -> Noxious, D -> Rot). In this example it means M is a word that starts with M, A is a word that starts with N (noxious), and D is a word that starts with R (Rot).

Then if it asks you what is DAM, you look back at the letters. D->R, A->N, M->M. You would look for the option that has a word starting with r, then n, then m (like.. Runny, Nice, Mixture).

If you want to find the exact one for this puzzle probably could do a quick google or wait for someone else to answer, but hopefully that helps.
Nevermind. Figured it out.
Good on you =P
Lol, thank for your help though.
Here are the answers:

Finish the sentence with “very awful, rotten.”
Then next
A hex, a misery, a blight, a curse.
I am very thankful for this, as I am just plain awful at ciphers. I genuinely tried, but my short term memory problems always get in the way. Some puzzles I excel at, others.. not so much.

The other solution is to just break down the door. Nothing is stopping you :fhappy::dwarven:

What statue? DId I miss something in all my playthroughs?
Man, I haven't played this since 2018. Interested to see a comment notice on this very old thread I was apparently still subscribed to, lol.

Hope you're enjoying it anyway!

Genuinely good games never die. :)

The additional magic of the internet is how a thread such as this can close the gap of time.

There's a talking statue in the vault of Braccus Rex. He looks like a knight. Tall fellow. Kinda pale.
