Report a translation problem
The dialog choices I did were, 1 (bone saw), 1 (delicate tweezers), 3 (ask Swann for help), 2 (slowly close the wound). She should be still alive at that point. A miracle!
This didn't work for me, you need to ask him to hold her steady, then forceps, then slowly.
At least that's what options I found elsewhere that worked.
I think it has to do with finesse. I tried using Fane and Red Prince, both of which have the scholar tag having 10 finesse, but it still fails no matter which option I choose. When I tried using my other character with high finesse (20+, I increased it with Encourage and Peace of Mind just in case) it worked when i chose steady, tweezers,slowly. Maybe you could try that.
I was having the same issue until I got her health lower than 50% (and above 0%) and knocked down or incapacitated in some way. As soon as I hit that particular mark, dialogue immediately came on and I began to perform the surgery.
