Is there a way to save the companion that im not using at the end of chapter 1?
I found the spirits of the red prince and lohse in the lady vengance afther the final fight. THey said that they didnt survive the fight, and the quest is closed.

i'm suprised more people arent outraged by this! i spent so long going back and switching and customizing all the characters. i could understand if they were killed in some cool story rich way, but its sooo ♥♥♥♥ just to see "oh they're dead" after the fight.

i'm really hoping we're being silly and there is a solution to this!!

I agree, I've got alot of good gear on those companions and I just immediately lose all gear, not to mention the buildup of their storylines ends suddenly, would be nice if we could revive them later through a plot maybe? I'm still playing through the game so fingers crossed this is what Larian set up
I don't regret taking everything but the pickle from Beast before making him walk the line.

extremely stupid decision to kill them without any notice and story behind. I wonder if there is technical possibility to 'revive' them in mod or via cheats in act 2 without breaking a story?

To Lohse and Red prince, the day they died may have been the most defining moment of their life but to a certain 4-man party, it was Tuesday. Too bad, they lost the companion lottery.

I don't mind them dying and you being forced to go with your party. What I'm upset about s that there's literally no warning that they'll die. At all. You have to KNOW in advance that something will happen.

I suppose they should have mentioned that there will be people left behind ...
But worry not, it will likely be fixed in Director's Cut version

yeah, this kinda threw me; not sure how I feel about it; I think I don't like it; I'm not sure yet; I"ll play the rest of the game and see what I think.

I also came back to finish the story lines of these characters in Act 1 and perfectly customized their gear and skill set to be able to use them in different situations and see what happens to their plots down the line. But all of a sudden for no apparent reason, the game just decides to kill them all off!

Currently theres a workaround mod with 6 companions. However it is still aworkaround as the original companions are still technically dead in quest related stuff.

They did mention that past a certain point you wouldnt be able to switch to the other party members, I'm fairly certain it mentioned it while you were on the boat before they died.

Welcome to Rivellon.

If you were expecting spoon feeding and hand holding you're in the wrong game.

This is a Larian game. They don't do Candylnd. They will shove the spoon down your throat and choke you with it, and the only time they will hold your hand is when they rip your arm off and beat you with the wet end.

Had this same confusion, pasted from another thread.

Hey I had this same confusion. This is a downside of excited clicking.

When you enter the academy the rest of your companions will "leave" you. They should have the yellow exclamation point above them indicating they want to chat. They all state their reasons to become Divine. You need to persuade them to get behind your bid to godliness. If you don't do these conversations and just click into the academy they will all show up to the Arena and die in the ensuing chaos trying to beat you to godhood.

You should be able to rez them. Unless you're talking about them leaving your group because they weren't happy. That's the important part about finishing their respective quests. Also, always keep plenty of rez scrolls handy on each character.

You get a warning that any companion NPC not currently in your group, will die off past a certain point.
